Environmental management system

The goal of the Centre for Marine Evolutionary Biology (CeMEB) is to create an innovative, enduring and internationally competitive research environment with outstanding potential to deliver innovative research of direct and urgent relevance to the management of marine ecosystems.

We also think that it is important to carry out our own work in a enviromental friendly and sustainable way.

In November 2005 an environmental management system for all activities within the Faculty of Science was certified in accordance with the international standard ISO 14001, along with an EMAS registration.

This means that we are working with environmental issues in a well-structured way, on a long-term basis and are constantly following up on our environmental work.
