Oral presentations - instructions

Talk Length

If no other agreements have been made with the session organizers the talks are scheduled in 15-minute time slots. The talks are no more than 12 minutes to allow three minutes for questions from the audience. The time limit will be strictly enforced to facilitate movement between sessions.

Submission of oral presentations

Advance submission is open. All oral presenters will receive an upload link by mail. We strongly encourage all presenters to upload presentations prior to the meeting but at the latest the evening before the scheduled presentation.

Format for Presentations

Presentation computers are Mac OS High Sierra (10.13) with the latest versions of PowerPoint, Keynote and Acrobat. We recommend that you use the latest versions.

All presenters must also bring a pdf backup presentation.

For best performance we recommend 16:9. The video projectors are HD (1920 x 1080)

Reviewing Your Presentation and On-Site Submission

Oral presentations not submitted via upload link will need to be submitted on site in room Armeria 3 at least the day before your presentation. This room will also be available for reviewing submitted presentations. Please make sure that all fonts, images, and animations appear as expected and that all audio or video clips are working properly.

Support staff will be present:
17:00 - 22.00 on Monday, 14 May 2018
17:30 – 19.30 on Tuesday, 15 May 2018
21:00 - 23.00 on Wednesday, 16 May 2018

During Your Presentation

Each meeting room will have a projector, screen, computer, audio, lectern, hardwired lectern microphone, timing device, and a laser pointer. Personal laptops cannot be used in the session rooms.
