Conference sessions

Apart from the keynote speakers, Marine Evolution 2018 will host nine sessions on diverse topics within Marine Evolutionary Biology. The sessions will take place in parallel, three at a time, during the three days of the conference. Each session is two and a half hours long, and will host session keynotes, regular talks and poster presentations, depending on the session. Conference participants who wish to present their research at the conference should choose a session for which their abstract should be considered.

Below, you can find a list of the nine sessions, with links to session abstracts and contact information for the session organizers:

  1. Epigenetic processes and non-genetic inheritance in marine species adaptation
  2. Diversification in space and time
  3. Evolution and dynamics of non-recombining genomes in marine populations
  4. Sex in the oceans: from molecules to macroevolution
  5. Adaptation and Phenotypic Plasticity in Marine Species as a Response to Global Change
  6. Genomic discoveries from novel marine model organisms
  7. Evolutionary Biology of Marine Invasions
  8. Marine Speciation
  9. Host-Microbe Coevolution in the Sea
