IMAGO Seminars

9 - 10 December 2015, Tjärnö

The 4th genome-meeting for the IMAGO species

For an efficient flow of information from/to the genome projects of the IMAGO species all interested members of CeMEB takes part in regular (approx. monthly) meetings. The meetings are short, max 1 hour per species, during which the species coordinator and the bioinformatician in charge presents the most recent updates, on-going and planned activities in each genome project. We also discuss genome publications, and in brief, other projects in which genome data is being used.

It is possible to either participate in only your own favourite species, in a subset or in all species. The meetings are at Tjärnö, but participation through Jabber is always be possible. For participating through Jabber please read the recommendations to the right.

In the evening there we have a seminar on some research topic followed by informal discussions over a cup of tea or something.

Virtual participation - Jabber

For virtual meetings we use Jabber video conference system within the University of Gothenburg, GU.

To get started you need an account for Jabber video and you will need to install a software. Both the account and the software are provided by GU. You will need a computer with webcam and preferably also a headset (not provided by GU ;-)).

Jabber is quite easy to install and use, but it is always good to try it out before the meeting so you don't need to use meeting time for technical issues. You will also need a good connection and preferably also be connected by cable.

For members within the University of Gothenburg: please visit this web page for more information: Jabber Video
